
BIOGRAPHY
Emma Roberts was a Young Artist at the National Opera Studio 22/23, as well as an Artist for Samling, Britten Pears and currently Orsay-Royaumont Académie 2023/24. A graduate of the University of Manchester, Emma went onto the Royal College of Music International Opera School where she graduated in 2022.
Emma was awarded the 3rd prize in the International Schumann competition 2024, 3rd prize Concurs International De Cant Josep Palet, 2nd prize & Loveday Song prize Ferrier 2022, and 1st Prize in the Joan Chissell Schumann 2022.

Recent engagements include covering the role of Lorca in Golijov’s Ainadamar for Welsh National Opera, RCM opera; Minskwoman in Flight, Hänsel in Hänsel und Gretel, Eduige Rodelinda, Third Lady Die Zauberflöte. Orfeo Orfeo ed Euridice with Barefoot Opera, title role in Mascagni’s Zanetto Barefoot Aalborg Opera Festival 2023. Emma performed a solo recital at Wigmore Hall in 2024, as well as recitals at the Red House in Snape, Aldeborough and Oxford Lieder Festivals. Emma has been mezzo soloist in performances such as Mahler 3 at Merton College Oxford, Verdi Requiem at University of Manchester, Prokofiev’s Alexander Nevsky conducted by Martin Brabbins. ​​

Upcoming engagements in 2025 include recital at Musee d'Orsay in March, Elijah in Oxford at the Sheldonian Theatre with Opus48 choir in March, soloist in New Paths Music Festival in Beverley in April, Alvarez Emerging Artist (Polina cover in Tchaikovsky's Pique Dame) Garsington April - July.
